Andreas Lingnau studied at University in Duisburg in Germany where he graduated in Computer Sciences and Mathematics. From 1999 to 2005 he was a research associate and member of the COLLIDE research group at University of Duisburg-Essen. He received his PhD in 2005 in the area of Computer Supported Collaborative Learning, Technology Enhanced Learning and Artificial Intelligence in Education.
From 2006 to 2009 he was a post-doctoral research fellow at the Leibniz-Institut für Wissensmedien in Tübingen/Germany where he worked on a technology enhanced learning system for pupils with intellectual disabilities. From 2009 to 2012 Andreas worked as a research fellow at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland on search interfaces and innovative interactive systems for children. In 2013 he worked as a senior researcher at Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt/Germany and as a visiting lecture at the University of Applied Science Ruhr-West/Germany.
From December 2013 until January 2016 he was a Course Developer and Lecturer for ICT at SGM in Berlin/Germany.
In February 2016 Andreas joined CSES as a senior researcher.
